Greg Natale X Tongue & Groove: The Bosco CollectionDesigned by Greg Natale for Tongue & Groove, Bosco is a new collection of engineered timber oak floors. For his first collection of timber flooring, Greg Natale breathes new life into the timeless tradition of parquetry, distilling its heritage into a new contemporary language. The result is flooring that feels both deliberate and effortless—a foundation for interiors of understated sophistication.
Drawing from the restrained lines and geometric clarity of European modernism, each design grounds spaces with a sense of presence and poise. The natural warmth of timber adds depth and texture, softening the collection’s sharp precision to create a surface that is as inviting as it is impressive.
Bosco is the first collaborative release from Tongue & Groove's multi-part Co.Lab series. Head to gregnatale.com or tongueandgroove.com.au to view the collection online. Uploaded 1 day + 23 hrs ago
Ashfield HouseThe contemporary and the classic are elegantly interwoven in the Ashfield House, a two-storey, four-bedroom Victorian mansion in Sydney.
To celebrate the beauty of this 1885 house and transform an incohesive renovation into a family-friendly residence, Greg Natale Design began with a palette of black and white for the exterior and interior, adding warmth with brass accents and hues of blue, blush and grey. Black-stained oak parquetry floorboards and French panelling on the white walls bring texture and respond to the era of the house, while mid-century-style furniture balances traditional elements.
Beautiful transitions of colour occur throughout, starting with original front rooms in moody blue and grey. An art deco-inspired runner in blush and grey leads along the hallway to the kitchen, dining and living areas, where the soft colours come into their own. Walls have been removed to create large, open spaces, with a glamorous new pavilion added outside for entertaining.
Panels of blush grassweave wallpaper in the master bedroom and chinoiserie wallpaper in the master ensuite and powder room create jewel-like spaces in a house that merges past and present style.

Kyle Bay HouseThis spectacular waterfront home reflects the strong modernist sensibility underpinning Greg’s maximalist approach to layering, with its robust sweeps of raw concrete and brutalist architectural gestures softened by graceful, eclectic and pastel-toned appointments.
Working as an architect and interior designer on this new build, Greg rekindled his love of modernism and relished the chance to express his passion for layering on a more minimalist canvas. It was also a deeply personal project, as his client had been a close friend for decades.
Knowing his clients wanted a house featuring concrete, timber, black brick, and patterned outdoor tiles, Greg’s thoughts immediately went to the tropical-brutalist style of modernist architect Paulo Mendes Da Rocha. The Brazilian master has been one of Greg’s enduring inspirations for the stark beauty of his designs and the generosity of space evoked through the interplay of outdoor and indoor areas. Greg could see how this style would translate beautifully to the Kyle Bay site, located on a cliff by the Georges River in southern Sydney and overlooking the lush greenery of the subtropical coast.
Concrete plays an integral part in the layering of the house, taking on a decorative role beyond its structural significance. The exterior sets the tone for what follows inside, with off-form concrete slabs creating an attractive grid appearance enhanced by the tie holes in each block. These are filled with brass, producing a pattern of small gleaming discs that come into their own on the interior walls.
The client encouraged Greg to explore a considered clash of colours – and many spaces feature her favourite blush pink, including on the stucco walls at the entrance, on the breezy sheer curtains throughout, and in an exquisite ensuite clad entirely in pale pink tiles.

East Brisbane HouseThis stunning riverfront residence combines the dramatic lines of interior architecture with the layering of sumptuous finishes to create a “modern palazzo” that celebrates its owners’ deep connection to Italy.
Inspired by arches along the house’s exterior, Greg Natale Design introduced this feature throughout the interior. Beyond a glass-walled entrance with black and white marble floors and black fluted timber walls, a series of arches unfolds in velvety grey stucco above smooth slabs of Nero Marquina marble flooring.
Enticing glimpses of rooms appear between the arches, such as the dining room, with its gold-toned de Gournay wallpaper. Here, chairs in brick-red velvet bring a burst of colour, which continues in the nearby kitchen stools and living room chairs, teamed with a mustard velvet sofa. These rich hues are joined by brass accents that appear throughout the house.
Wallpaper brings glorious colour and pattern, from Gucci herons in the master bedroom to Fornasetti foliage in the pool room. Featuring lavish finishes like fluted joinery and marble baths, this spectacular house draws on classical elements to offer contemporary luxury.

Walsh Bay PenthouseWinner of Room of the Year 2021 in House & Garden’s Top 50 Rooms awards, this two-storey, three-bedroom apartment showcases the creative use of curves in a palette that merges soft pink and yellow with elegant white and grey.
The new design and fit-out led by Greg Natale uses the interior architecture, furniture and accessories to form beautifully fluid lines, beginning with the living area, in the contours of the staircase, fireplace and the built-in low bench and cabinetry that wrap around the walls beneath. A selection of modern European furniture here and in the adjoining dining area echoes those lines, with brass accents bringing a warm gleam to the apartment’s soft tones.
Curves are a highlight in the hand-carved grey Carrara marble kitchen island, and on the bathroom walls, covered in delicate mosaic finger tiles. Designed on organic lines, the master ensuite features a walk-in robe, free-standing bath and luxuriously furnished living area. That blend of luxury and comfort continues throughout the apartment, with curves and colours working together to create a sophisticated yet serene space.

Toorak PenthouseThe jewel-like tones of pink and maroon team with the gleam of brass and the dramatic lines of interior architecture to transform an open-plan, minimalist space into a grand, glamorous residence.
Against light oak floors and fluted white lacquer panelling on the walls, plays on pink unfold throughout the three-bedroom penthouse apartment. Blush-painted ceilings create an intimate mood that continues with patterned wallpaper in the guest bedroom, and lacquered joinery and pink marble wallpaper in the dressing room. Pink Gucci Heron print wallpaper in the dining room offers a vivid display, while the hue is distilled in Calacatta Viola marble in the bathrooms, kitchen and fireplace. Maroon enriches the palette, appearing in lacquered joinery and fluting, and patterned wallpaper in the master bedroom and powder room.
To establish a sense of entry, Greg Natale introduced a hall of mirrored panels and arches, adding arches in varying widths throughout the apartment. These break up the space and create moments of drama, their plated brass lining echoing the brass accents elsewhere. Finishes, palette and details of line work together to imbue this apartment with a sumptuous, sultry grandeur.

Bondi Beach ApartmentThis revamped three-bedroom 1970s apartment offers a glamorous take on beachside living in a palette of pale teal and burnt orange, inspired by the water and sand outside as well as a series of Art Deco buildings across the road.
The renovation and redesign by Greg Natale involved removing internal walls to create an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, where stucco ceilings and walls reflect the light and water to great effect. Perforated bulkheads hide utilities like support beams and air conditioning while also providing a decorative element, with the circle motif repeated in design details from joinery mouldings to beautifully coloured mosaic tiles in the bathrooms.
Curves play a major role, in the arches and fluted columns introduced to visually increase the scale of the apartment, in the rounded forms of the joinery, and in the organic lines of furniture – a collection of contemporary and mid-century pieces.
Just as stunning as the view beyond is the terrace, with its custom tiles that give a nod to the designs of Gio Ponti, evoking hotel-style sophistication and a holiday vibe at home. Uploaded 2 years + 4 months ago
Mosman HouseA celebration of materiality, this four-storey, five-bedroom harbourside house features twenty-eight different types of stone in a richly layered design.
Greg Natale Design took inspiration from the Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan with its blend of pared-back classicism and modernity, and the project features elements of Italian rationalism and brutalism combined with art deco touches.
Marble makes a statement in floors, walls and portals, defining different areas in tones of burgundy, pink, green and ivory, and laid in styles from geometric patterns to Palladiana mosaics. The colours and lines of stone break up the large spaces, adding interest and warmth, with further details courtesy of timber treatments throughout. Fluted walls draw on art deco influences while square panels on cabinetry are brutalist in style, taking their cue from a brutalist wall sculpture designed by Greg Natale in a central courtyard.
Ceiling coffers add drama, while a sumptuous collection of vintage, contemporary and custom furniture and accessories brings neutral and gold tones to the luxe mix of colours and finishes that grace this grand house.

Hunters Hill HouseThis magnificent 1000-square-metre house is the result of a complete gutting and remodelling by Greg Natale, transforming the thirty-year-old building into a luxe, Art Deco-style modern residence in which marble plays a starring role.
The entrance makes the house’s grand statement, with the floor featuring a series of concentric rectangles in white Calacatta and grey custom marble. Its bold lines are echoed in a stepped stucco ceiling and offset by the curves of a grey marble staircase. Marble appears in lavish expanses through various rooms of the house, while panelling on the ceilings, walls and cabinetry adds intricate detail. Soft furnishings in navy velvet bring sophistication to the interiors, highlighted by brass accessories.
Outside, a stone fireplace, pool, sauna and steam room sit alongside formal gardens created by leading Australian landscape designer Myles Baldwin.
From architecture to interior and exterior design, the emphasis throughout this three-storey, five-bedroom house is on beautiful materials and a sense of grand yet comfortable living across different spaces.
