Croydon House II
A love of colour and pattern was the essence of the interior design brief for this four-bedroom Edwardian-era house in inner Sydney.
Beginning with the walls we set about creating a home that is awash with blue hues of all kinds and then sprinkled with a bounty of surprising creative moments.
Two halls in the house offer attractive vignettes that speak of its charms - old and new spaces are effortlessly, but modishly linked by the application of ceiling paneling and the joyful use of colour.
Part-renovation and part-new build, this project joyfully melds the best of both worlds – the character of a building with a history worth celebrating and all the amenity of a modern family home.
Nowhere in the house, however, celebrates the unexpected line and the glory of colour more than the bathrooms where three of Greg’s geometric blue and white tile designs have been customised to bring a little Gio Ponti-style magic to these spaces.
