Bellevue Hill House
Bellevue Hill House
An open, light-hearted French Regency feel characterises this chic two-storey, four-bedroom 1940s duplex, which was reconfigured from a series of apartments into one family house.
A sense of grandeur of proportion has been achieved by lowering the formal lounge and dining rooms to connect them to a sunken front courtyard. The resulting high ceilings emphasise the large chandeliers, while panelling and arches add detail to the white walls.
Black, white and grey prevail, punctuated by navy and coral. Modernist pieces by Jonathan Adler bring a little Hollywood glamour and wit, delivering contemporary charm amid the more classic elements.
