Greg Natale X Mirvac

Pier at Waterfront, Newstead in Brisbane offers a very sophisticated yet easy way to live with all of the high-end amenities you would expect from prestige apartment living. 

Mirvac were after something sophisticated and glamorous to reflect the type of buyer they knew would be attracted to the apartments and the fabulous lifestyle on the Brisbane River in the heart of a great food and wine precinct. We engaged Greg Natale, the Belle Coco Republic Interior Designer of the Year 2014 and worked with the team at Australian Gourmet Traveller to bring in the food and wine aspect. Greg really wanted to create a scheme with the Jonathan Adler pieces that had just arrived in Australia and Gourmet Traveller worked with renowned Brisbane chef Ben Williamson of Gerard’s Bistro so together we produced the perfect combination of design, food and wine.

Belle has a strong commitment to supporting Australian design talent. And while we will always include inspirational spaces from abroad in the magazine, I feel that Australia boasts amazing interior design talent, and a surplus of gifted creatives such as architects, artists, furniture and product designers, photographers and colourists doing really incredible things and we need to champion them. We see this constantly but it is reinforced each year when the entries for the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards pour in. We are all lucky to be working in this amazing, challenging and creative industry.
