'Let's talk about "it". "It" is the ability to make perfection look effortless. Greg Natale definitely has "it". His rooms are designed with such sureness that they look as if they were always meant to be.' – Jonathan Adler

For as long as he can remember, Greg Natale has been passionate about interior design. The multi-award-winning interior designer has become known for his masterly use of pattern and colour, and his bold application of both in creating tailored, glamorous and sophisticated spaces.

Greg studied interior design at the Design Centre Enmore in Sydney, visual arts at Sydney College of the Arts and architecture at Sydney’s University of Technology. In 2001 he started Greg Natale Design and has never had time to look back.

His first project for Greg Natale Design was decorating his sister’s one-bedroom apartment with wall-to-wall custom-coloured Florence Broadhurst wallpaper, layered with matching artwork and linen. Not only did this project win Greg his first award, it also announced his commitment to the creation of a new Australian interior, one that was unafraid of the big notes, unapologetic and, though bold in its approach, also considered, intricately layered and beautifully measured.

Since then, Greg’s business has gone from strength to strength, with designs featured in numerous local and international publications including Architectural Digest, Harper’s Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, Vogue Living and Belle Australia. Among the many awards to his name, one of the most recent is winning International Luxury Designer of the Year for 2016 at High Point Market in North Carolina.

Greg has extended his passion for pattern, line and colour into other design disciplines, exploring his love of geometric and organic designs through the creation of ranges of rugs, carpets, wallpaper, tiles, furniture and homewares. He has collaborated with local and global brands such as leading Australian firm Designer Rugs, Italian tile experts Bisazza and classic French furniture label Grange.

His first book, The Tailored Interior, was first published in Australia by Hardie Grant Books in 2014 and released in the UK and US the following year. Named by Architectural Digest USA as one of the 21 Best Books by Designers and Architects of 2015, it showcases some of the incredible spaces that have made Greg one of Australia’s most sought-after interior designers.

Greg’s second book The Patterned Interior was released worlwide by Rizzoli New York in Fall 2018.  In 2019 Greg's collection of decorative accessories and homewares were launched in Bergorf Goodman on 5th Avenue.
